HEALTHY STUFFED BAKED APPLES  (MANZANAS RELLENAS SALUDABLES)

Ingredients:

Makes 4 stuffed apples

Option 1: Almonds & Walnuts Stuffing

  • 4 Granny Smith Apples
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmet
  • Allspice
  • Apple Pie Spice
  • Packets of Truvia/Stevia
  • Almonds, chopped
  • Walnuts, chopped
  • Almond Meal for topping

Option 2: Almonds, Pecans & Raisins Stuffing

  • 4 Granny Smith Apples
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmet
  • Allspice
  • Apple Pie Spice
  • Packets of Truvia/Stevia
  • Almonds, chopped
  • Pecans, chopped
  • Raisins

NOTE: Ingredients will depend on your liking.

Instructions:

  • Carefully take out the core of each apple with a spoon.
  • In a bowl, mix all the ingredients with the core until well incorporated.

  • Stuff each apple with the “stuffing.”

  • Top with Almond Meal, sprinkle cinnamon and Truvia

  • Put the apple lid and bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes.
